Sheamus and the HHH Kiss-Ass Conspiracy Written by Kevin Hillman on 12/13/2009
The TLC PPV is possibly the best gimmick PPV they've ever created, but so many things about the PPV just sound awful. Like, if you're going to make a PPV about hitting each other with blunt objects with edges, expect blood. Idiots.
But wow, nothing proves backstage bullshit like two unknown British guys, who get the reaction of a peanut shell (not their faults, it's only been like, 4 months after all), winning the two most important titles in the history of WWE? Thank God Batista didn't win in the end, and was the DX title change really necessary? At all? Were ANY of the results for the night sensible or good at all?
There is NO good argument for Sheamus. NONE. Lesnar, who won the belt in mere months, was AWESOME. On his way to the title, he DESTROYED Hulk Hogan on a random episode of Smackdown, and on the way, beat the hell out of Ric Flair and others. Diesel was at least around for a few years, and when Hogan won the belt in a month in the 80's, he was at least over. Placing the belt on Sheamus is a disgrace, and just makes me wonder if it's so HHH can beat him for it at 'Mania.
Drew has no purpose as champ either. At least not yet, and Matt Boone is an idiot for using the phrases "cheap shot" and "clean win" within about 8 words of each other.
So if you're HHH's buddy, you win titles. That's what I learned from TLC tonight. Sheamus, McIntyre, HBK, and even Batista to a degree. Wow.
But I know a wise man who would be violently opposed to all of these happenings tonight:
HHH: All the stars are at a certain level. You can't make someone a star by simply bringing other stars down. That's not how the business works; it's not how it's ever worked. The new stars have to rise on their own. What big star ever laid down for me? That's never been how business is done.
-Unless you're Sheamus, and the star is the face of the company, and you have been around for a month on the main show.
But you put C.M. Punk in a 30-minute match with The Undertaker, it's 50-50 all the way and then Punk wins clean, the fans won't accept it. It does nothing for C.M. Punk, and it's also detrimental to the Undertaker.
-I guess this doesn't count if the "CM Punk" in this story is a jacked up monster who works out with HHH, and the "Undertaker" is only Cena. You know, just Cena.
HHH: The closest to me is probably Sheamus, because we always train together on the road. But I try to watch all the young guys' matches and give them advice, if they want to hear it. If they take advice to heart and really want to improve, them I am wanting to help. As for seeing some of myself in someone? Thats tough. Sheamus just the other day showed up at a show he didn't have to be at. He does whatever he's asked to do without complaining, he goes to every show and is always wanting to work: he does it all, goes above and beyond. That's what I was like.
Hmm, I sense a conflict of interest here.
Now I know I go off on Triple H all the time, but this is just plain ridiculous, and I can't find any positives, or arguments against why this is Triple H, and even Shawn Michaels' faults. This is just plain crazy.
